Our Beliefs

God

We believe in one God, the all-loving creator, and sustainer of the universe. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all wrapped into one perfect and holy mystery who we worship and obey.

Jesus is Lord

We believe that Jesus Christ is the leader of our lives. He came to earth, born of the Virgin Mary, 100% human and 100% God. He lived a sinless life and died for the sins of everyone, paying the price that we could never pay. But death couldn’t keep him down: he literally rose from the grave and conquered sin and death!

Holy Spirit Empowers Us

We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers followers of Jesus supernaturally to live out our calling from God. The Holy Spirit has given us spiritual gifts so that we can bear spiritual fruit that changes the world.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word. It is the truthful and trustworthy light and guide for the Christian life. We preach from the Bible, study it together in groups, read it in our quiet time with God, and follow its teachings.

God's Kingdom

We believe God’s Kingdom is something we experience both here on earth and throughout eternity. It’s the movement of God in the world. We experience it when we serve with the poor, share Jesus’ love with children, and give generously of ourselves.

Salvation

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift from God, not something that we can earn or deserve. It’s offered freely to everyone, but it’s not forced on anyone. We receive it by choice when we trust in Jesus.

Spiritual Growth

We believe that faith is a journey that we experience through the power of the Holy Spirit. As we grow in faith, we grow in love for God and others. We live daily by faith in God, and we seek to say “yes” daily to Jesus as our leader.

God Works Through the Church

We believe that the Church is the people of God, all around the world. It’s not just Americans from Cincinnati. The diversity of the church is a gift from God. We are all called to love, serve, and give generously of ourselves. We are God’s hands, feet, bank account, and instrument in this world. Our highest calling is to love God and to show God’s love to the world.
