Gospel in Full Color – Week 7: White: He is Alive! | March 30 – April 3
The color of Easter is white, the color of light, victory, purity, and resurrection. White is what comes after suffering. White is what remains when darkness is undone. White is not the absence of color; it is the fullness of it. But white is not just the color of the resurrection morning. White is the color of Christ’s eternal reign. He is alive. He is alive forever. And He holds the keys of death and Hades.
Put It into Practice: Choose one action this week that reflects resurrection hope: Reconcile with someone you’ve given up on. Speak encouragement where you’ve been silent. Take a faithful step you’ve been postponing. Ask yourself: What would I do if I really believed Jesus is alive? Then do that.
Day 1 Matthew 28:1–10
Reflect: How can fear and joy coexist in such a moment? What does this mix reveal about the women’s experience? Why does Jesus meet them on the way rather than remaining at the tomb?
Apply: Why do you believe in the resurrection? What proofs convince you that Jesus has risen from the dead? How would you share your view? What does it mean to you to live like the tomb is empty?
Pray: Lord, may I worship You, not just in church, but every day, holding fast to Your feet in adoration. May the joy of the Resurrection fill my heart so that, like the women running from the tomb, I am eager to share the news of Your victory over sin and death.
Day 2 Luke 9:28–36
Reflect: Why are the disciples shown Jesus’ glory before they understand His suffering? What does Peter’s desire to remain on the mountain reveal about how we prefer to experience God?
Apply: When have you experienced a moment of overwhelming awe or glimpsed God’s glory? What happened, and what was the impact? How does this vision of Jesus help us in low or ordinary times?
Pray: Father God, open my eyes, my ears, and my heart to see and hear Your divine nature. Strengthen me and equip me to take the light of Your glory to others as a reflection of Your love.
Day 3 1 Peter 1:3–7
Reflect: How does Peter describe a “living hope” (v. 3), and how is it different from optimism or wishful thinking? What does it mean to hold resurrection hope while still experiencing grief or struggle?
Apply: How do you view your inheritance in heaven? Where is your faith currently being refined rather than affirmed? How might God be forming something deeper in you through difficulty?
Pray: Blessed be Your name, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to Your great mercy, You have caused me to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Day 4 Philippians 2:5-11
Reflect: Why does Paul place humility and self-emptying at the center of Christ’s exaltation? What do verses 10 and 11 mean to you? Is this a threat or comfort, and why? How is this an Easter text?
Apply: How might living an Easter faith look like downward movement rather than upward striving? Where is Christ inviting you to adopt His mindset rather than protect your current status?
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You that You have made Yourself known to mankind through Your creation and through the inspired Scriptures. Please use me to share the good news of Christ so that many may hear and believe that Jesus Christ is both Lord and Savior.
Day 5 Revelation 1:9-18
Reflect: What first comes to mind as you read these words? Why do you think the risen Christ appeared to John in overwhelming glory rather than quiet familiarity? Define the meaning of verse 18.
Apply: Where does fear still shape your decisions more than resurrection truth? Picture Jesus on the cross. Describe what comes to mind. Now picture Him as John described. What changes? Praise Him!
Pray: Heavenly Father, You are a good, good Father! There is no end to Your greatness, and in awe and wonder, I praise You, forever and ever!
